Rosa Annie Barbour

Miss Rosa Annie Barbour, 82, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Pennsylvania County, VA on May 21, 1933 to the late William Anderson and Mary Annie Farley Barbour. Miss Barbour was a member of Marion Baptist Church in Virginia and attended Indian Grove Baptist Church. She was an assistant manager a Super Dollar Department Store. She is survived by sisters and brother-in-law, Hazel Adkins, Faye and Marvin Haskins all of Chatham, VA; brothers and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Edith Barbour of Mt. Airy, Herman Lee Barbour of Fort Wayne, IN; sisters-in-law, Beulah Barbour, and Ruth Barbour; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Barbour was preceded in death by two brothers, William Archie and Haywood Thomas Barbour; a brother-in-law, Arbury Adkins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Indian Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Floyd, and the Rev. Frank Harman officiating. Burial will follow in Indian Grove Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy to help with funeral expenses. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Barbour family.
