Rosie Ann Berrier Butcher Creed

Mrs. Rosie Ann Berrier Butcher Creed, 89, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Golden Living Center. Born May 24, 1921, in Surry County, Mrs. Creed was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Creed is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Jettie Wilmoth of Dobson, and Judy and Haywood Whitaker and Janie and Frank Sechrist, all of Mount Airy; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Creed; her mother, Jettie Berrier; and a brother, Fred Berrier. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dale Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 24 2011, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state one hour prior to the service.
