Ruby Ellen Hall

Mrs. Ruby Ellen Embry Hall, 76, of Cana, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023.  She was born in Patrick County on May 28, 1947, to the late Ben and Ruth Hall Embry.  Mrs. Hall was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  Her hobbies are crocheting, reading, and tole painting.  She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Clinton “Clint” David Hall, Jr. and Karen; a daughter, Sherrie Pruitt; grandchildren, Kate Cole, Timothy Pruitt and Taylor, Emily Pruitt; great grandchildren, Colton Cole, and Blake Cole; a sister, Brenda Hearl; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Embry and Mary Sue, David Embry and Barbara, and Cheryl Embry; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton David Hall; a son-in-law, David Pruitt; a brother, Bennie Embry.  Paul Vernon.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 12:00 noon at Blues Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Vass officiating.  Burial will follow in Blues Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 until 12:00 at the church and other times at her daughter’s home, 109 Grandparents Way, Mt.
