Ruby Helen Tucker Hudson

Mrs. Ruby Helen Tucker Hudson, 73, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday morning, June 13, 2011, at Golden Living Center. Mrs. Hudson was born October 8, 1937, in Wilkes County, daughter of the late Luther Herman and Annie Inman Tucker. She retired from Perry Manufacturing and was a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and James East of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kim Kirkman Hudson of Mount Airy; three grandchildren, Greta East, Jessica Hudson, and Travis Hudson, all of Mount Airy; a sister, Katherine Slate of Mount Airy; and a brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. Bill and Pat Tucker of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Hudson; and four sisters, Cora Lee Edwards, Joann Tate, Gladys McCormack, and Arlene Heller. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Bill Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
