Ruby Vainwright

Miss Ruby Mae Vainwright, 72, of Mount Airy, passed away early Friday morning, February 19, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital.  Miss Vainwright was born February 12, 1949, in Maryland, the daughter of the late William David Vainwright, Sr. and Harriett Coleburn Vainwright.  Ruby served as a hostess at Hardee’s Restaurant for a couple of years.  She is survived by her friends at Twelve Oaks Assisted Living Facility.  In addition to her parents, Miss Vainwright was preceded in death by two infant sisters; and a brother, William David Vainwright, Jr.  A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Dobson City Cemetery, with Dr. Jonathan Casstevens and the Rev. Terry Coe officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Due to public health concerns, attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
