Rufus Lee Faulkner

Mr. Rufus Lee Faulkner, 82, of Lambsburg, VA, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 19, 2022.  He was born in Carroll County on October 22, 1939, to the late Paris Grey Faulkner and Julina Spencer Faulkner.  He was the owner of Rental Towel Services for many years.  Pa loved to ride his Harley and spoil his family with many fun times and laughter throughout the years.  Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Shirley Ann Hash Faulkner of the home; children, Kim Faulkner Kampfen and husband Mike, and Sherrie Lee Faulkner; grandchildren, Nikki Hawks, Fieldyn Grey Hawks and Amber Lineberry, and Baylee McPeak-Bourne and husband Kadison; great-grandchildren, Cassell Kirkman and Addison Hawks; two sisters, Shirley Ann Faulkner Bristow, and Brenda Faulkner Stokes and husband Ron; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Rufus was preceded in death by four sisters, Ann Clarice Faulkner Pittman, Nancy Loretta Faulkner Wagner Dixon, Zora Fay Faulkner Small, and Mallie Irene Faulkner Skipper Sechrist; and by his brother, James Jesse “PG” Faulkner.  Funeral services for Mr. Faulkner will be held on Tuesday March 22, 2022, at 3:30PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor Israel Easter officiating.  Burial will follow in the Stantliff-Faulkner Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Faulkner family.
