Russell Junior Easter

Russell Jr. Easter, age 73, of Mount Airy, NC went on to meet the Lord on Saturday, June 29th,2024. Russell was born April 14, 1951, in Danville, VA to the late Russell Lee Easter and Myrtle Brummett Easter of Mount Airy, NC. In addition to his parents, Russell was also preceded in death by his oldest beloved daughter, Shannon Dawn Easter; a sister, Linda Shew Thompson; and brother Rodger Lee Easter. We know that he is rejoicing in Heaven with all of them today. He shared his life with his wife and other half Barbara Sandridge Easter for the last 45 years. Through which they raised and cared for their family, which was at the root of everything they did. “John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love”. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and grandchildren. Jason Lee Stuart Easter, his wife Jennifer, and sons Caleb Easter and Everett Easter. Marti Easter Goad, her husband Kevin, and their children David Patterson and Katie Patterson. Jacob Suter Easter, his wife Laura, and their son Ayden Easter. Jared Ryan Easter, his wife Christina, and their children Nash Easter, Mandalyn Easter, and Chord Easter. The world has lost a brilliant musician, a loyal friend, a loving son, brother, and a faithful servant of God. But most of all we have lost the greatest husband and father that anyone could ever ask for. Someone that put others before himself and never met someone whose life he did not impact. We are lucky that “such men have lived”. Heaven has now gained from our loss and Russell is now rejoicing with his family already there. “John 16:22, So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you”. The greater the love the greater the loss. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at New Beginnings Community Church on 1790 Old Pipers Gap Road in Cana, Virginia from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will proceed at 2:00 PM at the church with Steve Schramm, John Daniel and Jack Rose officiating. A private graveside committal will be led by the reverends Barry Wood & Tex Deaton.
