Sallie Mae Rigney Amstutz

Ms. Sallie Mae Rigney Amstutz, 70, of Galax, VA passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Carroll County on July 20, 1944 to the late Bruce and Margaret Tate Rigney. Ms. Amstutz was employed at Walmart and was a member of Blue Ridge Fellowship Church. She is survived by a son, Timothy Franklin Amtutz; three grandchildren, Austin Kilen, Kaitlyn Amstutz, and Jordan Amstutz; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Parlie Robertson; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ms. Amstutz was preceded in death by two sisters, Rebecca Lynn Robertson, and Iva Gayle Rigney; a brother, Robert J. Rigney. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Morris Family Cemetery in Fancy Gap with Pastor Scott Flippin officiating. There will not be a formal visitation.
