Sally Louise Dodson

Miss Sally Louise Dodson, age 84, of Elkin, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. She was born March 27, 1941, in Surry County, to the late Rufus Doughton Dodson and the late Mamie Mae White Dodson.

Left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Sethia Dodson, Verona Luffman, and Dorothy Royall; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nannie Spicer, Ruby Dodson Lynn, and Ronda Spicer; and her brothers, Grady Dodson, Ervin Dodson, and Avery Lee Dodson.

Miss Dodson was a member of Zephyr Baptist Church, worked as a florist, and worked at Chatham Mills for 42 years. Visitation will be Wednesday May 14, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 AM at Zephyr Baptist Church. Services for Miss Dodson will begin at 11:00 AM, in the church, With Rev. Craig Key and Rev. Chris Park officiating. Burial will follow in the Welcome Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank Michelle Park, Christopher Park, Ashlyn Park, David Dodson, Shannon Stokes, and Kyle Dodson for the kindness shown to Sally.
