Sandra Kay Potts Hawks

Mrs. Sandra Kay Potts Hawks, 57, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, May 06, 2014 at her home. She was born in Surry County on April 6, 1957 to Betty Jo McHone Potts and the late Willie B. Potts. Mrs. Hawks was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Hawks of the home; a daughter, Amy Renee Hawks of the home; a granddaughter, Brooklynn Renee Allen of the home; her mother, Betty Jo McHone Potts of Mt. Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Eddie Simmons of Ararat, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Gray and Teresa Potts of Elkin; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 8, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Honeycutt and Rev. James Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Marion Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
