Sandra Kay Bryant Holden

Mrs. Sandra Kay Bryant Holden, 62, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Holden was born January 17, 1948, in Surry County, to Harvey T. and Valeria Jones Bryant. She worked at Cross Creek Apparel for 42 years and was a devoted wife and dear friend to many. Surviving are her loving husband, Dale Holden of the home; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gail and Kenneth Hawks; two nephews, James Hawks and Steven Hawks; a great nephew, Ryan Hawks; a great niece, Lillie Hawks; an aunt, Estelle Gates; three cousins, Margaret Harmon, Debbie Larson, and Dean Jones; special friends, Beverly Putynkowski and Jo Ann Whitaker; and "our babies," DD, Harvey, and Gypsy. The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Haymore Memorial Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert McCrary officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
