Sandra Gayle (Wells) Lankford

Mrs. Sandra Gayle Wells Lankford, age 70, of Mount Airy passed away on Thursday morning, June 27, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Lankford was born August 23, 1953, in Surry County to the late Clayton Columbus and Etta Agnes Moseley Wells. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her husband of 51 years, John Mack Lankford; a daughter and son-in-law, Tammy Lankford Nelms and Aron; two granddaughters, Isabella Smith and Anna-Grace Smith. Mrs. Lankford was preceded in death by her parents. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy with Pastor Joey Jessup officiating. Interment will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Moody Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
