Sara Lee (Cockerham) Bryant

Mrs. Sarah Lee Cockerham Bryant, age 85 of Cana, Virginia passed away on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2025, at Hillsville Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Bryant was born May 30, 1940, in Surry County to the late Foley and Julia Myrtle Norman Cockerham. Sarah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Surviving is her sons and daughter-in-law, Herbert “Stuart” Hiatt, Jr. , Eric Hiatt and Jennifer; and two grandchildren. Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Eugene Bryant; a sister, Peggy Ann Cockerham Couch; and a nephew, Randall Warren Cockerham. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Genesis Full Gospel Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
