Mrs. Sarah Frances Puckett Venable Watson Age 76 of 640 Little Mountain Church Rd. Ararat, NC. Passed away Friday August 17, 2012 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Watson was born August 10, 1936 in Surry County-to the late William Hasten and Lena Davis Puckett, she was retired from Brown-Wooten Inc. and was a member of Little Mountain Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband Rev. Bill Watson of the home, three daughters and son-in-law Kathy and Benny Watson, Kim and Tim Lazenby and Karen and Bobby Morrison all of Ararat, two sons and daughters-in-law James Michael and Teresa Venable and Randy and Daphne Venable all of Ararat, seven grandchildren and spouses Melissa Venable of Raleigh, Tony and Stephanie Venable of Cana, Kandi Lazenby of Winston Salem and Tonya and Andy Hawks, Krystal and Neil Simmons, Zack Haynes of Ararat and Zain and Abbey Haynes of Mt. Airy, three great grandchildren Carson Simmons, Owen Simmons and Dayton Haynes all of Ararat, three step daughters and spouses Cathy and Rev. Barry Wall of Asheboro, Gaynell and Toby Christenberry of Statesville and Tanya and Rev. Randy Johnson of Ararat, two step sons and spouses Mike and Charlotte Watson of Mt. Airy and Greg and Denise Watson of Ararat, nine step grandchildren, ten step great grandchildren, One sister Mary Lou Collins of Lowgap. In addition to her parents Mrs. Watson was preceded in death by her first husband James Wilford Venable and by six sisters Barbara Cooke, Maude Senter, Lizzie Jones, Annie Bell Puckett, Polly Puckett and Betty Hill and by six brothers John, Bud, Jake, Roger, Joe and Bill Puckett. Funeral services will be held Sunday August 19, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Little Mountain Baptist Church with services conducted by Rev. Rayton Puckett, Rev. Grover Jarrell, Rev. Barry Wall and Rev. Randy Johnson with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday night 6 to 9 PM. at Little Mountain Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd. Dobson, NC. 27017. Moody Funeral Services will be assisting the Watson Family.
