Obituary

Mr. Saul Daniel Larraga, age 23, of Mount Airy, passed away tragically on Wednesday October 7, 2026, at Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Mr. Larraga was born in Surry County on October 12, 2002, to Mr. and the late Mrs. Raul Larraga Chaves and Reyna Arve Urquiza. Mr. Larraga was a stone worker and took great pride in the work he did. Left to cherish his memory are his father, Mr. Raul Larraga Chavez; sister Anallely Vanessa Larraga; grandparents Nicolasa Larraga, Filomeno Larraga, Paula Urquiza and Zenon Arce, aunts Erika Larraga, Elvia Larraga, Griselda Larraga and Alisa Arce-Urquiza; uncles Alex Larraga, Antonio Larraga, and Zenon Arce-Urquiza, as well as many cousins and close friends. Mr. Larraga was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Reyna Arce Urquiza, as well as his uncle, Mr. Juan Larraga. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 PM on Wednesday October 14, 2026, at Divine Redemer Catholic Church in Boonville, with interment following at Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Wednesday October 14, 2026, at Divine Redemer Catholic Church. Moody Funeral Service is humbly serving the family.
