Scharla Bray Browne

Mrs. Scharla Bray Browne, age 78, of Oak Island, NC passed away peacefully at the SECU Hospice Home in Bolivia, NC. She was born in Guilford County, May 22, 1946, the daughter of Charles Hughes and Mildred Fleming Bray. Surviving is her husband of 28 years, David Allen Browne; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Lee Morris, Scott and Kim Morris; stepdaughter and step son-in-law, Rosa Anna and Todd Poindexter; grandchildren, Evan Morris and his wife, Grace, Ellie Morris, J.C. Morris, Clark Morris, and Lily Morris; step grandchildren, Kassidy Poindexter, Katie Poindexter, and Keegan Poindexter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Robert Browne. A private graveside service will be held at the family plot at Oakdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Robert Allen Browne Memorial Scholarship c/o Surry Community College, 630 South Main St., Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Lower Cape Fear Life Care 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
