Selma Josephine Cook Bisogne, age 87 of Pilot Mountain, passed away Friday morning October 25, 2024, at Central Continuing Care. She was born June 13, 1937, in Surry County to the late Joel Thomas Cook and Artie Elizabeth Samuel Cook. After graduating from Pilot Mountain High School, she worked as an FBI File Clerk, in Washington DC, and retired from Spencer’s Corporation in Mount Airy, NC after years of service. She was a lifelong member of Jessups Grove Baptist Church. She was an avid bowler, winning numerous trophies, loved flowers and bird watching. Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Tamara (Tammy) Bisogne Ayers and Lisa Bisogne; son, Lawrence (Larry) Joseph Bisogne; six grandchildren; Ron, Tina, Megan, Ashley, Stephanie, and Vanessa; five great-grandchildren; Lily, June, Ayla, Hailey, and Eva; daughter-in-law, Shirley Portch Bisogne, several nephews and a niece, and many friends. In addition to her parents, Selma was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Arthur Bisogne; a sister, Mildred Scott; brothers, Rufus Cook and Billy Ray Cook. The family would like to give special thanks to Central Continuing Care, Inez Taylor, Sally Taylor, Ricky and Leslie Palmer, Boyce and Sue Jessup, Bruce and Pam Jessup, and Dale and Janet Jessup for all the care and support shown to Selma and her family.
