Shanna Michelle Light

Ms. Shanna Michelle Light, 48, of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday afternoon, January 23, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Ms. Light was born February 19, 1972, in Patrick County, VA, the daughter of the late Lee Donald “L.D.” Light and Magalene Allen Light Hudson.  Shanna worked as a certified nursing assistant at Village Care of King.  She is survived by her father, Wade Hudson; a brother, Michael Hudson; a sister and brother-in-law, Twana and Dwight Jenkins; two aunts, Laura Allen Harold and Margaret Allen Graves; a special friend, Penny Hicks; and her many friends and coworkers at Village Care of King.  Due to public health concerns, no formal visitation or memorial service will be held at this time.  However, a service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date at the Allen Family Cemetery in Cana, VA.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
