Sharon Margaret (Hutchens) Johnson

Ms. Sharon Margaret Hutchens Johnson, age 73 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Novant Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Ms. Johnson was born May 27, 1950, in Carroll County, Virginia.  Sharon was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.  Surviving is her daughter, Michelle Johnson; her son and daughter-in-law, Edward Johnson and Kelly; four grandchildren, Britney Johnson, Brandon Johnson and Destiny, Ashley Gertsch, Sierra Lunsford; seven great-grandchildren; ex-husband, Ralph Johnson; one sister and brother-in-law, Lucy Hutchens Nichols and Jerry; a special friend, Judy Willard; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by two sisters, Joyce Hutchens, Carol Hutchens Eaton; and a brother, Leonard Hutchens.  No formal services will be held at this time.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
