Shirley Rose Clark

Miss Shirley Rose Clark, 80, of Mount Airy, went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Monday, October 17, 2022.  Born in Mt. Airy, NC, Monday, October 5, 1942, the oldest daughter to the late Barney and Connie Clark.  She also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Edgar Dillard Griffin, and her nephew Michael Clark; and a double first cousin, Priscilla Clark.  She is survived by her two brothers and a sister-in-law, Reuben Clark and Glenna, and Phillip Clark; her three sisters, Mary Alice Griffin, Noreen Clark, and Ramona Clark.  She was also survived by four nephews, Edgar A. Griffin, Jeffrey Griffin, Greg Clark, and Chris Clark; and by her nieces, Darlene Griffin, Cynthia Rochelle (Jonathan) , Melissa Griffin, Rebecca Griffin (Billy Smithy), Samantha Mitchell (Gary), Kristy Griffin, Dana Clark (James Moore), several great nieces and nephews; and double first cousins, Sara Clark Staples (Joe), and Dorothy Marie Clark.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 162 Temple Lane, Mt.
