Simon Hernandez-Valdez

Mr. Simon Hernandez-Valdez, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, July 14, 2019 at his home.  He was born in Mexico on October 28, 1963 to Rosa Valdez-Rojas and the late Antonio Hernandez.  Mr. Hernandez worked for Chilton Farms, and a member of Divino Redentor.  In addition to his mother, Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Maria De la Asuncion Hernandez; a daughter, Rosa Hernandez; sons and daughter-in-law, Saul and Andrea Hernandez, and Thomas Hernandez; grandchildren, Evelyn Hernandez, and Arely Hernandez; sisters, Petra Fernandez, Martha Hernandez, and Alondra Hernandez; brothers, Alejandro Hernandez, Jose Hernandez.  In addition to his father, Mr. Hernandez was preceded in death by a brother, Juan Hernandez.  A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with services conducted by Father Larry Heiney.  Burial will follow in Second Chance Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
