Stephen Dairell Holt

Mr. Stephen Dairell Holt, age 65, of Dobson NC, passed away Friday, March 22, 2024, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born September 24, 1958, in Forsyth County, to the late Dairell Holt and the late Polly Holt Hardy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kathleen Poindexter; and his nephew, Michael Holt. Mr. Holt was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother, and worked as a truck driver before his retirement.

Left to cherish his memories are his children, Gretta Holt Fariss, Joshua Dairell Holt, Kelly Snow, and Kenny Matthews; his grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Abigail Brown, and Isaac Brown; his siblings, Sandra Davis (Randy), Keith Holt (Teresa), Greg Holt (Johnnie), Janet Rector (Nelson), Tim Holt (Marcela), Mark Holt (Kim), and Jeffrey Holt (Jayme); his special friend, Pat Butcher; and the mother of his children, Shirley Holt. 

            Visitation for Mr. Holt will be Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 1:00-2:00 PM at Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM, in the Moody-Davis Chapel with Rev. Jerry Pardue and Rev. Tony White officiating. Burial will follow in the Salem Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. The family wishes to give thanks to the Staff of Pruitt Health and Hugh Chatham Hospital ICU department for the care shown to Mr. Holt and his family. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Salem Fork Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 555 Twin Oaks Road, Elkin NC 28621. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Holt family.
