Steve Franklin Pell

Mr. Steve Franklin Pell, age 74, of Mount Airy, passed away on Thursday evening, June 25, 2026. Mr. Pell was born in Surry County on June 12, 1952, to the late Elbert Pell and Katherine Pell. He was an electrician for many years. Mr. Pell was a very faithful member of New Bethel Baptist Church (Dobson) for over 50 years, even serving as a deacon, and he loved serving the Lord more than anything. In his spare time, he could be found working on old cars, which he loved. Mr. Pell was loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Carol Mayes Pell; daughters, Angela Carol Pell, Jennifer Dawn Pell; son, Steven Bradley Pell; grandchildren, Alexavier Pell, Erylin Pell; sister, Karen Lawson; brother, Ricky Pell. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pell was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Parker; brother, Richard Pell. The family will hold a celebration of Mr. Pell’s life at a later date.
