Steven Dwain Inman

Mr. Steven “Dwain” Inman, age 72, of Mount Airy, passed away Friday afternoon, March 20, 2026, at The Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Dwain, known by many, was born in Surry County on September 14, 1953, to the late Clarence Bill Inman and Myrtle Hiatt Inman. Dwain worked many years in management within the textile industry. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife, Stella Mae Snow Inman; sons and daughters-in-law, David Inman and Kris, Jody Inman, Allen Hudson and Holli; grandchildren, Tyler Inman (Abby Harold), Cobin Inman, Kyle Inman (Payton Wood), Cole Inman, Breanna Inman, Madison Inman (Nathan Newman), Gavin Inman, Destini Hudson; four great-grandchildren; sister, Dana Inman Goins; brother and sister-in-law, Kevin Inman and Jennifer; several nieces and nephews; special great nephew, Ever Eldridge. In addition to his parents, Dwain was preceded in death by his son, Brandon Inman; brother, Gary Inman; brother-in-law, Buck Goins. Per Dwain’s request, there will not be any formal services held at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
