Stormy Sawyers

Mrs. Stormy Maché Sawyers Johnson, age 46 of King, NC, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.  She was born in Forsyth County August 31, 1977, to Randall Bruce Sawyers and Heidie Marie Freeman Sawyers.  She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  She loved her family and cherished every minute she could have with them.  When she walked into a room, she would light it up with her infectious smile and contagious laugh.  Stormy was a very loving person who had a heart of gold, and she never met a stranger.  She was working for Stokes County Schools at West Stokes High School in the cafeteria.  Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 13 years, Joe Johnson of the home; her children, Sadie Sawyers, Waylan Johnson and Eli Johnson; parents, Randall and Heidie Sawyers; sisters and brothers-in-law, Amber and Tyler Lambert. Jennifer and Stephen Dowdy, and Tabatha and David Stanley; her nieces and nephews, Jurnei Layne Sawyers, Jaxtyn Ridge Lambert, Eden Beemer, Levi Doss, Kaylee Stanley, and Conner Stanley; aunts and uncles, Walter and Crystal Resch, Evelyn Ronan, Karen Mallory, Gary and Lisa Sawyers, and Milford and Sonya Sawyers; a special cousin whom she thought of as a brother, Matt Goad and wife Tracy and their children, Madison, Cashe, Haylie, and Olivia; special cousin, Melanie Hull and her son Tanner and daughter, Emma; her fur babies, Tom, Shaylee, Bella, and Orange; and several other family members and friends.  Stormy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Gray and Emma Resch Freeman; and her paternal grandparents, Monroe and Helen Bateman Sawyers.  A celebration of life for Stormy will be held Sunday December 17, 2023, at 2:00pm in the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home.
