Sue Ella Fain

Mrs. Sue Ella Holt Fain, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, VA. She was born on December 21, 1946 to the late Will and Pearl Lankford Holt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Ralph Junior Fain; a son, Jason Fain; sisters, Ruth Martin, Oma Willard, and Mary Alice Inman; and a brother, James Holt. 

Sue worked as a dietician at R.J. Reynolds Patrick Memorial Hospital for 48 years. She was a member of Five Forks Wesleyan Church where she enjoyed cooking for fellowship meetings and spending time with her church family. 

She is survived by a daughter, Pansy Joyce (Benny) of Stuart, VA; a son R.J. Fain (Linda) of Patrick Springs; grandchildren, Brittany Joyce, Logan Clifton (Austin), Mackenzie Fain, Lexy Cummings, Laurel Wagoner, and Justin Willard (Erica); great-grandchildren, Avery Clifton, and Emma, Ella, and Easton Willard; a sister, Inez Miller of Reidsville, NC; and a special niece, Kaye Martin Wagoner.
