Susan Diannah Creed Davis

Mrs. Susan Diannah Creed Davis, age 74, of Mt. Airy, passed away on July 27, 2026 at Northern Regional Hospital in Mt. Airy after a long illness. She was born on June 19, 1952 in Surry County to the late Henry Lee Creed and the late Margaret Shropshire Creed Morris. Mrs. Davis graduated from North Surry High School in 1970 and married her husband Larry E. Davis. They moved around several times while he was in the Army. After Larry got out of the Army they moved to Raleigh where Larry attended N.C. State. Mrs. Davis owned and operated a trucking company and after a few years she owned and operated a truck brokerage. Later she was hired to help run a metal recycling and shredding business in Garner, N.C. with 75 employees. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who will surely be missed by all who knew her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 56 years, Larry Davis; son, Lee Eric Davis; granddaughter, Zoe Seras Davis; sister-in-law, Brenda Creed. In addition to her parents Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by sisters, Sharon Downey, Margaret Amick, stepfather, James “Jim” Morris. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 2:00 PM ~ 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens.
