Obituary

Susan Diane Collins Gusler, age 62 of Stuart, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Mulberry Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Martinsville. She was born in Martinsville on December 4, 1963, to the late Artimus Collins and Kathleen Hicks Collins. In addition to her parents, Ms. Gusler was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Collins and Barbara Collins; and four brothers, Jackie “Leon” Collins, Roger Collins, Michael “Butch” Collins and Homer Collins. She was happy all the time, no matter the situation. She loved immensely and was most proud of being “Grandma.” She enjoyed eating, especially candy. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Ms. Gusler is survived by her daughter, Chrissy Scott (Joey); four grandchildren, Blake Lawson (Alexis Craig), Haley Lawson (Aiden Smith), Trinity Lawson and Tanner Scott; a great-grandchild, Koehan Lawson; a brother, Buford Collins (Mona); a sister, Linda Forcella (James); a sister-in-law, Florence Collins; and a special niece, Amee Bullock.

A celebration of life for Ms. Gusler will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Bennie Redd officiating.
