Susan Beatrice Jarrell

Ms. Susan Beatrice Jarrell, 53, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017. Ms. Jarrell was born August 24, 1963, in Forsyth County, the daughter of Jewel D. Jarrell and the late Dr. W. Eric Jarrell, Sr. Susan graduated from Mount Airy High School and graduated with honors from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She was a 1982 debutante and was presented at The North Carolina Debutante Ball in Raleigh. She is survived by her mother, Jewel D. Jarrell of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Davis H. and Teresa Jarrell of Bluefield, WV; a sister, Beverly J. Williams of Charleston, SC; several beloved nieces and nephews; and her devoted aunts, uncles, and cousins. In addition to her father, Ms. Jarrell was preceded in death by a brother, W. Eric Jarrell, Jr. A private inurnment will be held at Oakdale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Shepherd’s House, 227 Rockford Street, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is serving the family.
