Mrs. Tammy Denise Harrell Johnson, 47, of Mount Airy, passed away early Sunday morning, December 11, 2016, at her home. Mrs. Johnson was born April 1, 1969, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Coy Lee Harrell and Mary Magdalene Burkhart Harrell Tilley. Tammy was formerly employed at TNT Carports, Inc. She is survived by two sons, Adam Johnson and Joshua Johnson and his fiancée, Heather Nichols, all of Mount Airy; a sister and brother-in-law, Vickie and Dan Sykes of King; her mother-in-law, Judy Lineback Johnson Lawson of Mount Airy; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Susie Johnson and Chad and Tennille Johnson, all of Mount Airy, and Joe Johnson and Stormy Sawyers of King; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Lee Johnson, Jr.; and a son, Jonathan Johnson. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Pastor Randall Smith officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. At other times, the family welcomes friends at 270 Westbridge Place, Mount Airy.
