Thomas Jasper Beroth, Jr.

On Thursday evening, July 7, 2022, Jesus opened the portals of heaven and welcomed His good and faithful servant home.  Mr. Thomas Jasper “T” Beroth, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family after a two-year battle against ALS.  He was 65 years old.  He was born August 14, 1956, in Forsyth County to Mr. Thomas Jasper Beroth, Sr. and the late Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen Palmer Beroth.  T was a man of few words with a heart like Jesus.  He loved people fiercely, never missing an opportunity to help those in need.  He was intentional about loving the people in his life and savored every opportunity to connect with those he loved.  Loving his family was his passion, and T cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren.  T owned and operated Stokes Tire and Automotive for 44 years, where he grew the business to seven other locations as part of the Mock-Beroth Tire Group.  He was proud of working alongside his father, son and nephew.  He was an excellent businessman who was known for running a tight ship.  T had a passion for the outdoors and loved hunting with his dogs.  Above all, T had a faith deeply rooted in Jesus Christ.  He was a devoted supporter of Young Life and a long-time member of Jefferson Christian Church where he enjoyed singing anytime the opportunity arose.  T leaves behind the love of his life and college sweetheart, Linda Johnson Beroth; to whom he had been married for 40 years.  He is also survived by his children, Thomas J. Beroth, III “TJ” and Olivia and Crystie Beroth Strawbridge and Mike; grandchildren, Tyson Beroth, Hunter Beroth, Micah Beroth, Jasper Beroth, Eli Strawbridge, Nora Grace Strawbridge and one more precious Strawbridge grandchild due in January; father, Thomas Jasper Beroth, Sr. and Pat; sister, Tammy Beroth Gilley; sisters-in-law, Cris White and Rob and Judy Spedding and Jeff; brother-in-law, Nash Johnson and Beth; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ellen Palmer Beroth; and his brother-in-law, Earlie Gaston Gilley, Jr.  A funeral service celebrating T’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Christian Church with Pastor Steve Cook and Pastor Jerry Simpkins officiating.  Burial will follow at Brookstown United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 at the church.  The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to T’s caregiver, Mrs. Jeannie Davis, as well as Mountain Valley Hospice for the love and care extended to T during his illness.  Memorial contributions may be made to Young Life of the Foothills (Young Life NC89), https://giving.younglife.org/s/  Post Office Box 327, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or Jefferson Christian Church, 8200 Jefferson Church Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045, http://jeffersonchurch.org/giving.  Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Beroth family.
