On March 15, 1933, Thomas Wiley Clifton, Sr. was born to Amos Reed Clifton and Anna Lee Cruise Clifton of Stuart, Virginia. Thomas’ joke was that he had nine sisters and they each had a brother.

He lived a full life for the 93 years and 3 months he was on this earth.

Survivors include his only living sister, Lucy Nowlin of Stuart, Virginia; his wife of the home, Gayle Ann Clifton; five children and three step-sons; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
