Mr. Thomas James Stone, age 77, of Jonesville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday June 22, 2026.Mr. Stone was born on December 27, 1948 in Surry County to the late Thomas Stone and Hallie Kathryn Roberts Stone. He was a devoted Christian and attended Fall Creek Baptist Church with his wife. He loved cars and car shows and was especially fond of corvettes. He was also a true family man and enjoyed spending time in the mountains. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 59 years Susan Stone of the home; one son Randall Stone and wife Shannon of Jonesville; one daughter Renae Moore and husband Jerry of Mount Airy; seven grandchildren Elijah (Sydney) Moore, Ezekiel (Macy Lane) Moore, Erin Moore, Emily (Brendan) Nave, Devon (Karen) Stone, Dylan (Cedric) Stone, and Jackson Stone; and seven great-grandchildren Cayden, Tommy, Alpha, Teddy, Thad, Beux, and AJ. A funeral service will be held on Friday June 26, 2026 at 11am at Fall Creek Baptist Church with Don Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in the Boonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 25, 2026 from 6pm-8pm at Johnson Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Fall Creek Baptist Church.
