Mr. Thomas Welcome “Tom” White of Columbia, SC formerly of Dobson, NC passed away suddenly on July 11, 2025, following a short illness. He was born October 17, 1942, to Genie Madison and Bertha Callahan White. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was proceeded in death by his wife Karen Nancy Hunter White, an infant son Michael Thomas, three brothers (Elwood, Roger and Ivan) and three sisters (Lucille, Neldia and Mary). Mr. White is survived by his son Travis Lee of Columbia, SC, sisters Juanita Puckett of Ararat, VA, Jean Badgett of Mt. Airy, NC, Bonnie Lindquist of Marysville, WA, Linda Shores of Thurmond, NC, one brother Alton White of Elkin, NC, several nieces and nephews and a good friend Joanne York of Mtn. Park.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
