Timothy Wayne Oakley

Mr. Timothy Wayne Oakley, age 45, of Cana, Virginia, passed away at his residence Wednesday morning, April 1, 2026, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Forsyth County on July 3, 1980, to Timothy Paul Jarrell and Denise Elaine Oakley Jarrell. Timothy was a loving father, brother, son, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He worked for Asplundh, providing storm clean up services. Left to cherish his memories are his children, Abigail “Abby” Oakley, Atom Oakley; parents, Timothy and Denise Jarrell; sisters and brothers-in-law, Heather Poteat and Kyle, Jennifer Akers and Adam; several nieces and a nephew. Timothy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ronald Oakley and Opal Hawks Oakley; paternal grandparents, Paul Jarrell and Ruth Jarrell. The family will hold a celebration of life service for Timothy on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home of Mount Airy with Mr. Tim Bowman and Mr. Bryson Melton officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Moodys of Mount Airy is respectfully serving the Oakley family.
