Tina Emmaline (Smith) Easter

Mrs. Tina Emmaline Smith Easter, age 94 of Mount Airy, passed away on Friday morning, May 31, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Mrs. Easter was born one of ten children to Grover Cleveland and Emma Parker Smith.  Tina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.   She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sherrie Easter Conley and husband Marion” Chicken”, Cindy Easter Bassett and husband Kim “Bear”; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip Easter and wife Rhonda; four grandchildren and spouses, Melissa Cline and Joey, Corey Easter and Jennifer, Elijah Leftwich and Rose, Billy Dean Strausser; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Haddie, Ian, Dakota, Caleb, Leah; along with several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Easter was preceded in death by her husband, Maynard Lee Easter; a daughter, Pamela Susan Easter; six sisters, Virginia Smith Beck, Sophia Smith Hawks, Edith Smith Ward, Lou Ellen Smith Midkiff, Kathleen Smith Welborn, Treva Smith Cockerham; and three brothers, James “Herman” Smith, Persey Harold Smith, and Robert Eugene Smith.  No formal services will be held at this time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 1427 Edgewood Drive, Suite 101, Mount Airy, North Carolina 27030 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
