Tony Dale George

Mr. Tony Dale George, age 65, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry County, February 9, 1959, the son of Brooks and Ila Mae Needham George. Mr. George was a long-time school administrator and coach in Mount Airy, Surry County, Yadkin and Stokes County School Systems. Surviving are his children; Emily George Goins and husband, Levi, Brooks George and wife Abby; grandchildren, Brison Reid George, Braylen Brooks George, Maizey Mae Goins, Junah Wade Goins, Elijah Jefferson George, and Easton Jack George; and the mother of his children, Sandy George. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Carol George.  A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy, NC. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hope Valley, 105 County Home Road, Dobson, NC 27017. Moody Funeral Service of Mount Airy is serving the George family.
