Tony Ervin Jessup

Mr. Tony Ervin Jessup, 65, of Lowgap, passed away at his home on Saturday evening, July 4, 2026. Mr. Jessup was born October 20, 1960, in Surry County, to the late Paul Jessup and Jewel Elaine Gentry Jessup Thomas. Tony was a dedicated welder in the trailer manufacturing industry for many years. Outside of work, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and treasured the sense of freedom and the lasting friendships they brought into his life. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Regina Anne Dalton Jessup; two sons, Tyler Jessup and Cody Jessup; two grandsons, Weston Kyler Jessup and Jaxon Kade Jessup; a sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Mark Johnson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Avis and Bonnie Dalton; two aunts, Ginger Jones and Patsy Watson and her husband, Jerry; and his best friend, Lokie. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jessup was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Lee Thomas Butcher; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Wilma Hawks Gentry; his paternal grandparents, Ora and Versie East Jessup. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
