Travis Wayne Cave

Travis Wayne Cave, age 93, born February 25, 1930, to the late William Guy Harm Cave and Dessie Jennings Cave, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  Travis was a loving dad, grandpa and papa.  He was a retired farmer and a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Lambsburg, VA, where he served as a deacon for forty-three years.  Surviving are his children, Shirley Cave Jessup (Lester), Roger Cave (Kathy), Charles Cave, all of Mt. Airy, NC, Jimmy Cave (Kelly) of Pinnacle, NC, Betty Cave Adams of Dobson, NC, Lisa Cave Wagoner (Jimmy) of Wytheville, VA; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Blanche Whitt; and brother, Edward Cave.  Along with his parents Mr. Cave was preceded in death by his loving wife Margaret Ann Wood Cave; sisters, Carrie Cave, Frances Cave Freeman; and brothers, Herman Cave, Odis Cave, Clinton Cave and Franklin “Britt” Cave.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21^st, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Holly Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Pack and Rev. Woodrow Flippin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
