Vann Raymond Reese

Mr. Vann Raymond Reese, 54, of 544 Tea Cup Lane, Lowgap, passed away Wednesday evening, April 15, 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Reese was born September 16, 1960, in Surry County, to Imogene Ardner Reeves and the late Uriah Faw Reeves. Vann was formerly employed as a truck driver at Blue Ridge Concrete Products Inc. He is survived by his mother, Imogene Ardner Reeves of Mount Airy; seven brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Vickie Reeves of Dobson, David and Kim Reeves, Michael Reeves, Phillip Reeves, Dennis Robertson, and Ray Robertson, all of Mount Airy, and Gary Reeves of Wilmington; two sisters, Linda Gumpert and Brenda Robertson, both of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Reese was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Weddle; his maternal grandparents, George Washington and Ellen Gates Ardner; and his paternal grandparents, Austin and Ruie Faw Reeves. There are no local services planned. Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy is in charge of the cremation and serving the family.
