Versie Mae Marion Marsh

Mrs. Versie Mae Marion Marsh, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday evening, June 14, 2023, at her home.  Mrs. Marsh was born March 4, 1937, in Surry County, one of five children born to the late Jerry Myer and Ethel Forest Marion.  Versie retired from Tultex after many years of service and was a faithful member of Westside Baptist Church.  She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Bobby Forrest Marsh of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jerry Atkins of Mount Airy; a granddaughter, Brandi Love of Mount Airy; two great-grandchildren, Hailey Love and Caden Love, both of Mount Airy; a sister-in-law, Orene Marsh of Mount Airy; a brother-in-law, Alvin Tilley of Mount Airy; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marsh was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Marsh; a granddaughter, Brittney Erin Atkins; a great-grandson, Braxton Andrew Love; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy Tilley and Alma and Jim McMillan; and two brothers, Clyde Marion and Claude Marion.  The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Westside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Johnson and the Rev. Larry Stone officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 PM at the church.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
