Vickie Dora Moss Matthews

Mrs. Vickie Dora Moss Matthews, 69 of Winston-Salem, passed away at her home on Thursday evening, March 26, 2026. She was born June 17, 1956, in Surry County to the late William Edgar Moss and Dora Bell Phillips Moss. She was a retired CNA after many years of dedicated work. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 50 years, Michael Odell Matthews; daughter, Julia Marie Matthews; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Fran Winters, Betty Inman, and Mary and Bobby Gwyn; a very special friend, Vern; and several other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Matthews was preceded in death by two sisters, Glenda Parker and Mildred Moore; and by three brothers, Dale Moss, Leon Moss, and Michael Moss. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 12:00 until 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
