Victor Anthony Simmons

Mr. Victor Anthony Simmons, age 67 of Mount Airy, North Carolina, passed away Friday, August 8, 2025 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina. He was born in Mount Airy on July 29, 1958 to the late Rufus Albert Simmons and Lena Ervie Smith Simmons. In addition to his parents, Mr. Simmons was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert Reed and Eva Sarah Hartman Smith; and his paternal grandparents, Hersey M. “Bill” Simmons and Sadie Alice Chilton Simmons.

Mr. Simmons is survived by his wife, Thelma Wise of the home; three children, Mallorie Simmons and spouse, Matthew Morgan of California, Anthony Simmons and spouse Anja Chillemi of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Taylore Childres and spouse, Jordy Harrell of Claudville; seven grandchildren, Emma Morgan, Kason Pinnix (Lizzy), Chloe Morgan, Ian Morgan, Archer Morgan, Max Morgan and Aeris Simmons; three brothers, Arnold Simmons (Patty) of Mount Airy, Alan Simmons (Sherri) of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, Randy Simmons (Melanie) of Asbury, North Carolina; two sisters, Lana Covington (Paul) of Westfield, North Carolina and Pattie Scott (Paul) of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; many, many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Joshua Marshall of Mount Airy.

A graveside service for Mr. Simmons will be held Friday, August 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Heath Cemetery, 167 Texas Trail, Claudville, Virginia with Rev. Ricky Rogers officiating.
