Violet Williams Hubbard

Mrs. Violet Irene Williams Hubbard, age 87 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. She was born on March 28, 1938, in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late August Riley Williams and Thelma Jane Slate Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Thompson Hubbard; a sister, Rachel “Gail” Flippin. Violet enjoyed watching the birds and all flowers. The joy of her life was her family. She loved spending time with her family, and she held a special place in her heart for her grandsons and great-grandsons. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mama, adoring granny, and caring sister, aunt, and friend.

Mrs. Hubbard is survived by two daughters, Cindy Hylton (Randy) of Stuart, Katina Hylton (Brad) of Stuart; two grandsons, Brent Hylton (Michaela) of Woolwine, Chase Hylton of Stuart; two great-grandsons, Dawson and Riley; three sisters, Vera W. Wood of South Boston, Joan Smith of Stuart, Essie Holt (Guy) of Stuart, one brother Riley Williams (Geraldine) of Bassett; brother in law, Larry Flippin of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Jacks Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Tim McGrady officiating. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart is handling the arrangements, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
