Virginia Imogene (Hall) Jenkins

Mrs. Virginia Imogene Hall Jenkins, age 91 of Mount Airy, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs. Jenkins was born on December 19, 1934, in Carroll County, Virginia to the late John and Ernie Midkiff Hall. Imogene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great great-grandmother, sister and friend. She was a faithful member of White Plains Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School for more than 60 years and was the oldest living member. Mrs. Jenkins will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen Jenkins and Liz, David Jenkins and Tammy, Michael Jenkins and Wanda; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Burton Jenkins; grandson, Jason Jenkins; two daughters, Nancy Jenkins Roberts, Lisa Jenkins; two sisters, Juanita Hall Hughes, Shirley Hall Sehen; and two brothers, Walter Hall, Gerald Hall. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 3:00 PM at White Plains Baptist Church in Mount Airy with Reverend David Tucker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at White Plains Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until the time of the service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care for the compassionate care provided to Mrs. Jenkins during her illness.
