Virginia "Kay" Goings Lawson

Mrs. Virginia "Kay" Goings Lawson, 72, of Mt. Airy passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Bethesda, MD on September 14, 1942 to the late Fred Ivery Goings and Kathleen Harris Carroll. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Kay was a loving Mother, Grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Melissa Lawson of Mt. Airy, three grandchildren, Santana Leigh Lawson, Amanda Jane Lawson, and Dustin Neil Lawson all of Mt. Airy; a very special cousin, Diane Easter Hull of Mt. Airy. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Flippin officiating. Burial will follow in Old Hollow Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
