Obituary for Virginia Ruth Riley Isaacs
Virginia Ruth Riley Isaacs met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 30, 2026, at Pittsboro Christian Village. She was born June 11, 1942, to Samuel Isaac Riley and Ruth Lillian Damewood Riley in Charleston, SC. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years, Jerry Grady Isaacs, her three children - Mark (Debbie) Isaacs, Kathy (Lee) White and Melissa (Todd) Godfrey, eight grandchildren - Amanda (Louis) Bagdonas, Kristin (Ryan) Gibbs, Andrew (Mary Kate) White, Joel (Allison) White, Benjamin (Caroline) White, Max (Alaina) Godfrey, Katie (Jacob) Motley, and Madelyn (Aaron) Turner. She dearly loved her twenty great grandchildren - Emmett Bagdonas, Jolynn Gibbs, Leah, Amelia, Anna Carlton and Maggie White, Evelyn Cate, Riley and Magnolia Harper White, Lacey, Jackson, Jerry and Virginia Ruth White, Tristan and Oliver Godfrey, Maddie Sue, Harrison and George Motley & Grady and Olivia Turner. She prayed for every member of her family by name every night until Alzheimer’s took that ability away.
Virginia knew that God’s calling on her life was to honor Him by caring for her husband and her children. She embodied the description of Proverbs 31:27-28 “She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband praises her.”
The family would like to thank Pittsboro Christian Village and Liberty Hospice for their loving care.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 9th from 10-11 am at Moody Funeral Home - 206 West Pine Street, with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow immediately at Pinnacle Baptist Church, located at 1054 E Old Phillips Road, Pinnacle, NC.
A memorial service will be held at Pittsboro Christian Village, 1825 East Street, PIttsboro, NC on Friday, May 15. Friends may greet the family at 9:30 am with a service beginning at 10:30 a.m.
