Wayne Curley "Baby Huey" O'Neal

Mr. Wayne Curley “Baby Huey” O’Neal ,76, of Dobson, NC passed away December 24, 2023. Wayne was born July 27, 1947, in Forsyth County to the late John Curley and Annie Evelyn Wolfe O’Neal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Buster O’Neal, Jim O’Neal, Gray O’Neal (Joyce); a niece, Jennifer O’Neal Riddle; and a sister-in-law, Judy O’Neal. He worked as a truck driver for H & W Trucking for many years and was a member of Level Cross United Methodist Church. Mr. O’Neal was a member of The Copeland Masonic Lodge # 390, A.F.&A.M. for 42 years, as well as a Shriner. He is survived by significant Donna Moore and her sons, Josh Moore and Donnie Buckley; a grandson, Brendon Buckley (Mackayla); great grandchild, Harley Buckley; sisters, Elizabeth George (Jack), and Dorothy Joyner (Eugene); brother, Darrell O’Neal (Barbara); 13 nieces and nephews and many great and nieces and nephews; as well as a special nephew, Neal Joyner. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 29, 2023, at 2:00 at Level Cross United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeremy Pegram and speakers Sharon Joyner Payne and Bethany Freeland officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow the service in the Level Cross United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites by Copeland Masonic Lodge # 390. A.F.&A.M.
