Wayne Allyn Pierce

Mr. Wayne A. Pierce, age 85, of Mount Airy NC, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 13, 1941, in Los Angeles CA, to the late Val Jean Ernest Pierce and the late Ann Ruth Blevins Pierce. Mr. Pierce was a retired railroad engineer, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was known for his great sense of humor and his generosity.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Ewing Pierce, his daughter and son-in-law, Julee and Rick Staton; his sons and daughter-in-law, Edward Pierce, Todd and Merita Pierce, and Michael Pierce; step sons, Nathan Herrington and Aaron Herrington; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 PM, at The Covenant Church, 123 Scenic Drive, Mount Airy NC 27030, with Rev. Darin Bird officiating. Mood-Davis Funeral Servicer in Dobson is serving the Pierce family.
