Weldon Lee Gammons

Mr. Weldon Lee Gammons, age 66 of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Forsyth County on April 20, 1956, to the late Jackie O’Neal and Fox Atkins.  Mr. Gammons retired from Salem Trucking after many years of service.  Left to cherish his memory are his brother and sister-in-law. Wallace and Sandra Gammons; a step-brother, Lee Atkins; daughter, Stephanie Thomas; grandchildren, Tori and Cole Hicks, Brennen, Lola and Camilla Mackie, and Riley and Leigha Wall; nephew, Brian and Andi Gammons; nieces, Amber and Anthony Shropshire and Jamiee Davis; and great-nieces and nephews, Layla and Levi Gammons and Korbyn “Foxx” Shropshire..  In addition to his parents, Mr. Gammons was preceded in death by his step-sister, Mary Alice Davis.  A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 1:00 in the afternoon at Ararat Cemetery with Reverend Mike Martin officiating.  Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Gammons family.
